8 Items You Need To Use On Minecraft BedWars Server

So you've been playing on a Minecraft BedWars server, but you haven't tried out all the different items yet. Discover new ideas and strategies by using all the blocks available in BedWars. Here's 8 items you need to use!

#1. Invisibility Potion

Looking to make a splash on your enemies? Acquire an invisility potion from one of the center islands and drink it just before you get to an enemy island.

Make sure that other Minecraft players can't see you when you drink the potion. You'd be giving your position away!

Once you've drunk it, head for the enemy bed as quickly as possible! Potions only have a short duration, usually 30 seconds or less, so you need to be quick. Make sure that you are not holding any items as it will give your position away. Approach the enemy bed and try to destroy it without being seen or heard.

#2. Snowballs

Popular amongst trollers, the snowball has been infamous in Minecraft minigames since they began back in 2011. If you can get your hands on some snowballs, stick them in your hotbar and simply wait. Once you see a player trying to make it across a bridge, start hurling them with snowballs. With any luck, they'll be in the void and out of the game.

#3. End Stone Blocks

A great option to defend your bed without breaking the bed too much, end stone bricks have been crucial to bed defences for years! They are available in the item shop and provide great value for the protection they provide. Try alternating your bed defences with other blocks such as wood in order to form a strong defence.

#4. Obsidian

Looking to take your bed defences to the next level? Stop anyone that doesn't have a diamond pickaxe from breaking your bed by using Obsidian! It takes much longer to be broken than other blocks too, giving you extra time to get back to your bed.

#5 Wool

While wool may be the easiest block to obtain on minecraft servers with bedwars, that does not mean it should be discounted as anything but a crucial block to the game. From getting you to the center at the start of the game, to spamming defences in times of stress... wool is a very important block in any bedwars game!

#6 Bow

As a sky-based game, there's plenty of opportunities to take advantage of the bow when playing bedwars! Purchase a bow from the item shop along with arrows to ensure you have ammo. Bows are great as both an offensive and a defensive weapon. Stop enemy players from getting to your bed by letting off shots as they get close. Attack other beds by picking off teammates and shooting them into the void, leaving the bed open for attack.

#7 Ender Pearls

Kind of like a cheat code, ender pearls allow you teleport across the Minecraft map. Obtained with resources from the center island, ender pearls can be obtained in limited amounts. Make the most of them by using them to teleport to enemy islands. Gapple up, prepare to battle and bring enough resources to overrun the enemy bed.

#8 TNT

Leading on from the above, TNT & Ender Pearls make the perfect combination. Use an ender pearl to get to an enemy bed and then quickly rain down TNT on them! Within a few seconds, you'll have teleported to their island and destroyed their bed. This is all before they have time to react and take back control of the island.
